Isabelle Slavin

Intern, Research Associate

Isabelle Slavin is a Research Intern for Basilinna. Isabelle has extensive experience abroad in both academic and professional settings. Currently in her final year at the George Washington University, Isabelle is majoring in International Affairs, with a concentration in security policy and a minor in history. She is a participant of GW’s Global Bachelor’s Program, which allowed her to study International Affairs abroad for a year, with one semester at Fudan University in Shanghai and the second semester at Dublin City University in Dublin.


This past summer, Isabelle interned for the Department of Commerce’s Foriegn Commercial Service in Chengdu, China. This enabled her to work alongside commercial specialists who help US companies navigate doing business in Southwest China. At the Commercial Service, Isabelle had the opportunity to research crucial trade and market issues between US and China, along with participating in meetings between US and Chinese companies. She also drafted and edited speeches, reports, and weekly highlights for various events. In addition to the Commercial Service, Isabelle previously interned at the Anti-Defamation League and currently holds leadership positions in US-China student organizations on campus.  


At Basilinna, Isabelle will use her prior experience in China and her International Affairs background to provide research that will help Basilinna effectively assist their clients.
