Abel Hibert’s career spans more than three decades across the public, private, academic, and financial sectors, marked by a consistent focus on innovation, regulatory policy, and economic development. Abel currently serves as a Board Member of Grupo Vector, Professor and Researcher in Industrial Economics at the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM), and Auditor for telecommunications institutions in Mexico. He is also a regular contributor to leading newspapers in Mexico, offering insights on macroeconomics, regulation, and public policy. In the private sector, Abel was Vice President for Public Affairs at AT&T Mexico. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Office of the President. He holds a Ph.D. in Administration from EGADE Business School at the Monterrey Institute of Technology, a Master’s in Economics with specialization in Applied Economics (jointly with the University of Pennsylvania), and a Bachelor’s in Economics from ITAM.
